PRESS RELEASE:
Limerick’s City Pantomime ‘CINDERELLA’ by Mike Finn
Director: Richie Ryan
Will Cinderella get to Prince Bertie’s Ball? Will she have a beautiful Gown? Will her Ugly Sisters win the day?
From the team who brought last year's sell out hit panto Beauty and The Beast comes the magical story of ‘CINDERELLA’ from Tuesday 27th December, 2011 until Sunday 8th January, 2012 in the newly renovated BELLTABLE, Limerick.
CINDERELLA has all the magic you would expect in a pantomime for all the family. Penned by award winning writer Mike Finn, starring (Dame) Myles Breen as Nappyrash and Darren Shine as Bogroll, the two ugly sisters, Cinderella will be directed by Richie Ryan from CentreStage Theatre School. Cinderella will be played by the georgous Hilary Burke and singer/actor Conor J Ryan plays the part of Prince Bertie. Jarad Nadin plays the part of Buttons.
The production will also include the CentreStage KIDS, the CentreStage TEENS, with musical direction by Bryan Meehan and choreography by Annalise Hurley. Lighting by Loren Hartnett and Stage construction by Cathal O'Donovan. Costumes by Andrea Webber.
CINDERELLA offers great homemade entertainment for all the family according to director and producer Richie Ryan. “This is our 15th year doing the pantomime in Limerick. People can expect the usual high quality productions that they know from the CentreStage team. We have the wonderful line up of talented cast and local writer Mike Finn working with us and given his great reputation for quality scripts, people can be sure of an entertaining plot and hilarious entertaining characters.
“Myles Breen also has a huge rapport with the audience so that always works well and this years pantomime promises to be even better than ever,” continued Richie.
Writer Mike Finn says that it’s important to get that mix of comedy and plot just right.
“It’s the same mayhem, fun and excitement that always makes the panto such a hilarious show for all the family. We try to have enough colour, fun and excitement to keep the kids entertained while also including jokes and political gags for the adults. That way it works for everyone from 3 to 103.”
CINDERELLA is presented by CentreStage Productions in the BELLTABLE, Limerick from Tuesday 27th December 2011 to Sunday January 8th at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Tickets from €16.
CINDERELLA is kindly supported by Limerick’s Live 95fm, Specsavers, Supermac’s, Ryan’s Joinery and CentreSPACE Studios, Limerick.
